Postville woman is involved with a Fayette County accident

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says a Postville woman, 32-year-old Maria Felix Lopez, pulled out from a stop sign on G Avenue in Arlington last Wednesday night and was struck in the side by a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Anthony Oterkamp of Dubuque.  Lopez was ticketed for Driving without a Valid Driver's License and Failure to Yield When Entering a Highway, both simple misdemeanors.

Several people suffered minor injuries, with one person taken to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein by ambulance.  Both vehicles involved in the accident were declared total losses.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Aurora Fire, Aurora First Responders, and Arlington Ambulance Service.
