decorahnews.com to discontinue www.winneshiekfairresults.com

For the last 17 years, decorahnews.com has taken photos of the winners in every category of 4H/FFA judging at the Winneshiek County Fair.  But technology keeps changing the world we live in.  For instance, almost everyone has a cellphone now that has a camera in it, so it's easy for livestock judging contest winners to take their own photos and send them instantly to relatives.  Because of that change and because decorahnews.com will be covering two murder trials during July, we will be reducing our Winneshiek County Fair coverage this year.  We will still post photos of overall 4H/FFA winners and we'll still cover the Fair Queen ceremony and other events at the Fair, but we will not be posting photos to www.winneshiekfairresults.com.  This will enable us to do what we believe we do best -- cover local news in Decorah, including court cases.
