Four Decorah FFA members did well at the State Agronomy Contest

The Decorah FFA sent four members–Ashley Nierling, Daniel Schwartzhoff, Stacia Sexton, and Shayla Smith–to compete in the State FFA Agronomy Contest just before school ended for the year.

The Decorah team placed sixth out of 25 chapters competing, taking home a gold rating.

Students evaluated various crop production aspects, including hay quality, silage samples, seed quality, and corn and soybean marketing. They also took a fifty question multiple-choice exam covering agronomic practices.
