Charles City man airlifted following weekend traffic accident

A Charles City man, 72-year-old Dennis Raab, lost control of his motorcycle around 5:00 Friday afternoon on Old Stage Road, according to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say Raab lost control of his 2006 Triumph motorcycle and was seriously injured, being airlifted from the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

Saturday morning around 9:45, 30-year-old Amanda Dehning of Cresco lost control of her car on 345th Avenue, sliding into the east ditch, with the car coming to rest on its top. Dehning was charged with Failure to Maintain Control. The accident did $5,000 in damages.

The Sheriff's Office also released details of a June 22nd accident on 370th Street which caused $3,000 in damages. 45-year-old James Trouten of Cresco was westbound on 370th Street when he lost control, entered the ditch, and struck trees. Trouten was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
