Main Street Iowa group from Decorah will head to Des Moines July 30th

Several Decorah residents will be heading to Des Moines on July 30th to formally ask the Iowa Economic Development Authority to name Decorah as a Main Street Iowa community.

Decorah representatives will present their case at 11:00 a.m. that day in a formal presentation to IDED staffers.

Decorah was one of six communities that sent in an application.  Only four communities  were chosen to move forward to a Final Presentation in Des Moines.  One or two communities will be selected from these presentations.  The announcement of the selected communities will be made on August 5th.
