U.S. Cellular: We're upgrading our towers this year, too

In the wake of decorahnews.com's story about new cell towers being put up in town (http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2019/06/22608.html), U.S. Cellular has issued a statement saying it, too, will be doing improvements this year.

A public relations staffer for U.S. Cellular in Iowa and Nebraska, Kevin Schuster, says "We are using small cell technology to increase capacity and enhance our network for customers in the Decorah area. We expect this work to be completed later this year."

Decorah City Hall officials say they expect to enter into discussions with U.S. Cellular about the leasing of city-owned right-of-way land later this year.
