Arrest made in graffiti at Palisades Park

A West Union man has been charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief for allegedly spray painting graffiti on the road at Palisades Park.

18-year-old Christian Krambeer was questioned June 13th about the graffiti, which was described by parks staffers as having racial overtones.  The graffiti was painted in five areas of the park, largely on the park road.  Similar graffiti then was discovered at the skateboard park at Wold Park.

Police say they received a confession from Krambeer when he was called in for questioning.  He was placed under arrest and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.
