Luther College Vice President for Development Jim Jermier is leaving the college for a job at the University of Northern Iowa.

Jim Jermier will become UNI's Vice President for Advancement and President of the UNI Foundation as of July 29th.  Jermier is an alumni of UNI, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education in 1995 and a Master of Arts degree in philanthropy and nonprofit development in 2009.

In his new role, Jermier will serve as the chief development officer for the university. He will also provide leadership for future capital campaigns and alumni outreach efforts.  "The opportunity to return to UNI in this role is the honor of a lifetime," Jermier said.

"I know I speak for the entire UNI Foundation board in expressing our excitement about Jim returning to UNI," said board chair David Takes. "He has always been a member of Panther Nation, and we look forward to having Jim back and following his lead as we amp up our fundraising and support activities on behalf of UNI's students and programs."
