Decorah woman faces six charges folllowing weekend traffic accident

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies were called to U.S. Highway 52 and Town Line Road shortly before noon on Friday.
28-year-old Courtney Guntly of West Des Moines was traveling north on Highway 52 when 39-year-old Lisa Schroeder of Decorah pulled out from a stop sign onto Highway 52, where she collided with Guntly's vehicle.
Schroeder left the scene of the accident on foot and was later located in a nearby field. Guntly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Schroeder and a passenger in her vehicle suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
Schroeder was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident without Rendering Aid, Interference with Official Acts, Driving While Barred, No Insurance, Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way, and Operating a Non-Registered Vehicle. She was arrested and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.
