Rain keeps coming down in Winneshiek County, but county road crews and Wicks Construction crews are making progress in fixing some problems in county roads.
County Engineer Lee Bjerke says Wicks Construction crews have been working in Freeport, Bluffton, Kendallville and other locations to patch potholes and make other road repairs.
Meanwhile, gravel roads "are starting to come around," according to Bjerke. 2-inch rock has been put on some gravel surfaces, but county officials are still nervous about the impact heavy rain continues to have on roads.
