Traffic accident leads to ticket

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says a Sunday morning traffic accident on Highway 52 caused $4,500 in damages.

Deputies say 60-year-old Nancy Kovarik of Ossian was westbound on Highway 52, slowed and stopped to turn left into a driveway, when she was struck from behind by a car driven by 60-year-old Lawrence Ehler of Ossian.

Neither driver was injured.  Ehler was charged with Failure to Stop in Assured Clear Distance.
