Decorah Elks Club is helping 8th graders travel to Washington, D.C.

The Decorah Elks Club is contributing $3,000 towards the cost of sending 8th graders to Washington, D.C.

The Elks' Children's Committee applied for a so-called "Gratitude Grant" from The Elks National Fund and for a grant from The Depot Outlet in Decorah. Both applications were accepted.

The money received will be used to help fund ten 8th grade scholarships for the Washington D.C. trip. Scholarships fund half the cost of the trip; students are responsible to finance the remaining half.
