Chris Norton suffered a spinal cord injury in 2010 while playing football as a Luther College freshman. Doctors gave him only a three percent chance of ever standing again. He ignored those odds. Instead he walked across the Luther College graduation stage with fiance Emily at his side in 2015.
Now the two have written a book, "The Seven Longest Yards," about their experiences. They will return to Decorah on Monday, July 1st, for an "Evening in Conversation" at 7:00 p.m. at Carrie Lee Elementary Auditorium
