Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has signed into law legislation which will make it possible for native breweries in Iowa to expand their businesses into wineries and distilleries if they care to.

The bill signing took place in Decorah, at Toppling Goliath.  "This is the perfect setting to sign this bill," Reynolds told a group of people gathered at the plant Tuesday morning.

She noted that 95 percent of craft breweries in Iowa are locally owned and the breweries have a $100 million economic impact in Iowa, including the employment of 1,500 people.

Reynolds' visit to Decorah was part of appearances Monday and Tuesday in Northeast Iowa.
