Decorah man injured when his motorcycle struck a deer

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports a Decorah man was injured last Thursday night when his motorcycle collided with a deer.

22-year-old Cody Phillips was westbound on Pole Line Road when a deer entered the roadway.  Phillips struck the deer and laid down the bike sustaining injuries to his right leg and back.  Phillips was transported to Winneshiek Medical Center by private vehicle. The collision caused an estimated $3,000 of damage.
