Decorah man assaults a correctional officer in the Winneshiek County Jail

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports 21-year-old Donavon Nelson of Decorah attacked a jailer/correctional officer Sunday night while incarcerated in the Winneshiek County Jail. No injuries were sustained during the assault. Nelson was charged with Assault on a Correctional Officer.
