Quilts of Valor program receives a grant from the Winneshiek County Community Foundation

The Winneshiek County Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Decorah Quilts of Valor.

The grant money will be used to purchase patriotic fabric and other supplies needed to create 16 Quilts of Valor for Winneshiek County Veterans touched by war. WCCF Chair Steve Johnson and WCCF Vice Chair Marcia McKelvey recently presented the check to members of the Decorah Quilts of Valor.

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with a comforting and healing quilt.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation is a non-profit organization established and operated in accordance with Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
