D.A.R.E. graduations have been held in Winneshiek County schools

North Winneshiek D.A.R.E. graduates

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office has been holding D.A.R.E. graduations this month at C.F.S. Catholic School, DeSales Catholic School, North Winneshiek School, South Winneshiek School, and Turkey Valley School.

Deputy Byron Hook taught D.A.R.E. to fifth grade students in five of the county's elementary schools.  Students learned ways to handle bullying and peer pressure, different ways to avoid drug and alcohol use, and safe and responsible decision-making skills.
