Amendment to the City of Decorah's 2019-2020 budget adds $188,000 in spending

The Decorah City Council has unanimously approved adjustments in the city's 2019-2020 budget.
The adjusted budget will have $3,197,000 in higher spending, including $790,000 in spending on the new Gundersen Health System hangar at the Decorah Airport; $640,000 in spending on the Dry Run Box Culvert; and $250,000 in spending by the Library.
However, much of the spending is being paid for by other sources of revenue, such as state and federal grants. In all, there will also be an additional $3,009,878 in revenues for the City of Decorah for 2019-2020.
That means the net increase in spending under the adjusted city budget is $188,122.
