Murder trial of the man accused of killing a former ISU golf star is being moved to Decorah

A murder trial will be held in Decorah in September.

The Des Moines Register is reporting that Story County Judge Bethany Currie has approved a defense motion to move the trial out of Ames because of pretrial publicity.  The judge ruled the news coverage of Barquin Arozamena's death might affect the ability of the person accused in her death, 22-year-old Collin Richards, to get a fair trial.

The trial has now been set for the Winneshiek County Courthouse starting September 10th.
