A new Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine (MRI) has just been installed at Winneshiek Medical Center.
The new machine features the latest MRI technology. WMC Radiology Director Tasha Croell says, "The new MRI features a larger opening, soft lighting and soothing fans to lessen the claustrophobic feeling of our prior scanner."
The new digital MRI will provide exceptional image quality. Says Croell, "Our MRI team will be able to produce higher-quality imaging, quicker diagnosis, swifter patient flow, enhanced comfort and reduced wait times overall."
MRI is a non-invasive scan which uses powerful magnets to produce images. It's useful in diagnosing disorders involving the central nervous system, joints, abdominal and pelvic organs and the circulatory system.
