Decorah High School senior Beirgen Gunhus-Dansdill is the recipient of a 2019 Ross Wagner Engineering Scholarship from Gemini.
The scholarship was established for students seeking degrees at the country's top engineering schools. Every scholarship recipient receives a tuition benefit of up to $100,000 paid over four years.
Beirgen will be attending the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities to study mechanical engineering. He has been active in cross country, track and field, intramural basketball, band/drumline, National Honor Society, HiMCM math competition, and Physics Olympics.
Said Gemini president Fred Oss, "Our scholarship funds are designed to offer educational opportunities to the best and brightest students from our communities who are pursuing careers in engineering. We wish Beirgen the best of luck in his future endeavors."
