April was warm and wet in Decorah

Decorah meteorologist Richard Bernatz has crunched the weather numbers for April in Decorah and has concluded the month was wet and warm.
April had 16 days with measurable precipitation, which was seven more than the average for the past 126 years. Total precipitation was 3.80 inches, which was 0.66 inches more than the 126-year average. Compared with April 2019, 34 Aprils were wetter and 91 Aprils were drier. For the past 12 months, Decorah has received 55.92 inches of precipitation--22.71 inches more than average.
As for temperatures during April, they ranged from 84 degrees on April 21st and 22nd to 22 degrees on April 15th. The daily average temperature was 49.0 degrees, which was 1.8 degrees warmer than average. That meant April of 2019 was cooler than 41 previous Aprils, but warmer than 84 other Aprils during the last 126 years.
