"SNOWFAIL" totals?

The National Weather Service Office in La Crosse says snowfall totals on Saturday were actually higher far to the south of Decorah than in Winneshiek County.
While 4 to 7 inches of snowfall were predicted, the total which actually fell was two-thirds of an inch of moisture--a good deal of it coming as rain.
Other nearby towns--including Mason City and the Rochester area--reported receiving 3.5 inches of snowfall. But Decorah snow melted quickly and never got to the point of needing much shoveling.
Precipitation will continue off and on for the next week, but with warmer temperatures, it will all fall as rain. You can check the forecast by clicking on the "Weather" tab.
