Decorah Middle School and Decorah High School musicians participate in Kennedy Honors Orchestra Festival

Several 7th, 8th and 9th grade musicians in Decorah schools participated in the recent Kennedy Honors Orchestra Festival in Cedar Rapids.

The 11 students were nominated by their teachers, Jennifer Larson and Nicole Cody, both for their playing skills and for their ability to maintain focus throughout a long day of rehearsing.  

Conductors for the festival were Joshua Reznicow from Cedar Rapids Linn-Mar, Michele Mentz from Dubuque  and Sarah O'Neill from Waverly.
