Six musicians have been signed to perform at the Seed Savers Exchange benefit concert August 3rd at the farm north of Decorah.
Dave Simonett of Trampled by Turtles, Lisse, David Huckfelt of The Pines, Pieta Brown, Michael Rossetto, and special guest Greg Brown all are on the bill for the 7:00 p.m. outdoor concert to benefit Seed Savers Exchange. Dave Simonett is the lead singer and songwriter for the Duluth-based acoustic bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles. Elisabeth Maurus—known by her stage name, Lissie—is an American folk-rock artist who makes her home on a small farm in the Driftless Area. David Huckfelt is the founder of the popular Iowa indie-folk band "The Pines." Pieta Brown is a talented poet and songwriter who last performed at Heritage Farm in 2017. Banjoist and guitarist Michael Rossetto is a former sideman for "The Pines" who has been writing and recording instrumental music with his quartet, Spaghetti Western String Co. Legendary folk artist Greg Brown is a longtime Seed Savers Exchange performer since August of 2000.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at gate and can be purchased at seedsavers.org/concert. All concert proceeds will support Seed Savers Exchange.
