Black Hills Energy presents $10,000 check to the Decorah Fire Department

It's official. Tuesday morning representatives from Black Hills Energy presented a check for $10,000 to the Decorah Fire Department.

The money will be used to help pay for a fire training facility on Old Stage Road. Black Hills also plans to make an in-kind donation of natural gas meters for use in exercises at the new facility.

Black Hills Energy spokesperson Laura Roussell says, "This facility will be a great benefit not only to the Decorah Fire Department but also to surrounding departments."

The check presentation brought together Decorah Fire Department volunteers with Black Hills Energy employees.
