Park-Rec Department gets grant for tree planting

The Decorah Park and Recreation Department has received a "Trees for Kids grant" from the Iowa DNR.

The money will be used at the Pulpit Rock Campground.  The grant will sponsor 38 new trees to be planted next Tuesday, April 23rd, at the campground.

Area students from Decorah High School, Kinderhaus, and NEIM Montessori, along with expert guidance from Iowa DNR and Winneshiek County Master Gardeners, will be in charge of the tree planting.
