It could have been worse. While Decorah received some snowfall Wednesday (around one inch), it missed getting the major snowfall which dumped on portions of Minnesota.
The remnants of the intense winter storm should make their effects felt through early Thursday afternoon. The National Weather Service La Crosse Office says a wind advisory will remain in effect until 1:00 Thursday afternoon. Easterly winds of 20 to 30 miles an hour are predicted, with gusts up to 45 miles an hour.
The National Weather Service says driving will be difficult for lightweight or high profile vehicles; loose outdoor objects may be blown around; and minor tree damage is possible.
