Letter to the Editor: "How soon, how easily and how tragically we forget our veterans"

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by John Bay of Iowa City):

"Thank you to those Decorah veterans' groups which encouraged the Decorah City Council and Mayor to reverse the decision to eliminate displaying the American flag to save a few dollars.  Fiscal responsibility is to be admired, but how soon, how easily and how tragically we forget."
