Decorah School District staffers are reporting that recently the number of students absent with illness has been on the rise.
They're stressing that the school district has a policy which covers when students should return to school:
--Students may not return to school until free from a fever for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
--Students may not return to school until free from vomiting and/or diarrhea for 24 hours.
Symptoms of Influenza can range from mild to severe. They include fever and/or chills, headache, body aches, coughing, stuffy or runny nose and sore throat. If you suspect that you or your child has Influenza, see your healthcare provider and please be sure to follow their directions.
