Traffic stop leads to OWI charge for Louisiana man

Late Sunday night, the Decorah Dispatch Center received a call regarding a vehicle traveling west in the wrong lane of traffic on Hwy 9 towards Ridgeway. The vehicle turned around sometime before Ridgeway and headed back towards Decorah.

A Decorah Police Officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy 9 and Hwy 52. As a result of the traffic stop, 31-year-old Bryce McCarthy of Metairie, LA was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, (OWI), 1st offense.
