The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 54-year-old Patrick Curran of Decorah has now been transferred to the Winneshiek County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.

The Sheriff's Office was contacted around 6:00 p.m. Saturday by someone reporting a disturbance in Hesper involving someone with a firearm.  Curran fled the area prior to deputy's arrival.  During the investigation of the incident and the search for Curran, the Sheriff's Office learned that Curran was at a home in rural Houston County.  Houston County Sheriff's Deputies took Curran into custody and held him in the Houston County Jail on a Winneshiek County arrest warrant listing three felony charges--first degree  burglary, being a felon in possession of a firearm and stalking with a dangerous weapon.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says Curran waived extradition and was taken from Caledonia to Decorah, where he is currently being held in the Winneshiek County Jail.
