Winneshiek County Road Department employees have a new three-year agreement

The 35 to 40 employees of the Winneshiek County Road Department are getting pay raises.

Winneshiek County supervisors have approved an agreement which calls for the road department employees to get raises of 2.5 percent in each of the next three years.

The contract is limited to wages only, thanks to a 2016 law passed by the Iowa Legislature which limited public employee unions from negotiating about anything besides wages.
