The Upper Iowa River in Decorah is not expected to flood on Thursday or Friday as water from snow melt and rainstorms runs off into the river.
The river level was at 9 feet late Thursday afternoon--enough to reach the "action stage," but still 3 feet short of the 12 foot flood stage. The river is expected to crest at 10.8 feet early Friday morning.
The Upper Iowa River at Bluffton has not reached the flood stage, but downstream at Dorchester, "major" flooding is expected during the day Friday.
