Winneshiek County road crews continue to try to cope with the problems brought on by rapid melting.

Several roads have been closed due to mud and water.  Lincoln Highway Road is closed between Middle Calmar Road and Middle Ossian Road; Coldwater Creek Road is also closed, as is County W14 north of 335th Street.

Road crews have been trying to dump gravel to help stablize road beds, but the gravel keeps disappearing into the mud.

Paved roads are in good condition, but travel is still not advised on gravel roads in Winneshiek County.  There have been numerous reports of trucks getting stuck in the mud on the gravel roads.
