Flooding still predicted in Spillville Thursday afternoon and evening

The National Weather Service is still predicting flooding along the Turkey River because of snow melt and rainfall.

A Flood Warning continues for the Turkey River at Spillville.  The flood stage at Spillville is 9.0 feet.  The forecast predicts the river will rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue to rise to over 15 feet by Thursday evening.  At that level, the flood would be considered "major flooding."

The river level is predicted to fall below flood stage by Friday in Spillville, however additional flooding is predicted down river on the Turkey.
