"Decoding the Driftless," the feature-length documentary film set in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, has been named "Best Picture" and "Best Cinematography" in the Documentary Feature category by the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards.
"Decoding the Driftless" takes audiences above, on, and below the amazing Driftless Region, soaring over ancient, rugged bluffs, skimning the surface of primordial rivers, venturing deep underground to secret worlds, hanging perilously over massive rock cliffs, and traveling across time to decipher ancient clues of the unglaciated Driftless Region landscape.
"The goal of both the Sustainable Driftless organization and the film is to inspire resource conservation, vibrant local communities, and sustainable growth in the region," says co-producer Tim Jacobson.
The LAIFFA awards will be presented August 24th at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, California.
