Decorah woman involved in three-vehicle accident Sunday evening in Fayette County

Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a three-vehicle accident on Highway 150 at Nature Road around 5:00 Sunday evening.

Two vehicles were driving south on Highway 150--one driven by 73-year-old Phyllis Fosaan of West Union and another driven by 26-year-old Jessica Lynn Jepsen-Rupp of Decorah.  The Sheriff's Office says the two vehicles slowed down and a third vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Anthony Gordon Williams of Victoria, Minnesota, lost control due to road conditions and collided with Jepsen-Rupp's vehicle, pushing it into Fosaan's vehicle.  Four people sustained minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to Palmer Emergency in West Union. 

Jepsen-Rupp's vehicle and Williams' vehicle were both considered a total loss.  Damage to Fosaaen's 2009 Chevy Impala was estimated at $1,500. 

Williams was cited for Following too Closely, a simple misdemeanor. Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by West Union Fire, Gundersen and Postville Ambulance Services.
