Letter to the Editor: How many Decorah residents who voted for some of our city council members would like to change their vote now?

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Dave Ohlert of Decorah in response to a previous letter by Bob Puffer http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2019/03/21688.html):

"Hey, Bob!  How many Decorah residents who voted for some of our city council members would like to change their vote now?

Borrowing tons of money to fix some things they should have seen coming and budgeted for; jacking up taxes, water and sewer rates; and more worried about the Lower Coop Parking Lot and fancy intersections than about our streets.

How about having an outside engineering company survey the Locust Road when everyone is preaching 'shop locally?'  I don't see you jumping all over this.  Don't kid yourself--if Decorah Power took over, they'd be jacking up prices more than Alliant.  At least with Alliant we have peace of mind.  Can you say that about some of our city council members?  So before you spout off about Alliant jacking up rates, take a hard look at what our city council is doing to us."
