Nordic Fest Board is looking for two new board members

The Nordic Fest Board, the group of volunteers that plan, manage, and facilitate Nordic Fest, are looking for local residents who are interested in becoming a board member this year.

There are two open board member seats:

1. Marketing/Advertising Chair: Responsible for creating advertising copy for local radio stations, working with advertisers, and managing ad spend within the Nordic Fest budget. Handles press releases and media relations related to promoting Nordic Fest prior to the event weekend.

2. Sporting Events Chair: Helps in planning, managing, and coordinating the sporting events that take place during the fest. These events include Kuub, Elvelopet, Nordic Rock Throw, Lutefisk Eating Contest and more.

The board will also be looking for a new Parade Chair for Nordic Fest 2020. Those interested in this seat have the option of joining as co-chair for this year to learn the ropes.

While those with relevant background are encouraged to reach out if interested, these board positions are open to anyone who would like to serve on the Nordic Fest board. Board appointments are for three years on a voluntary basis. Board members are asked to attend monthly board meetings.
