Decorah Lions Club members are sorting thousands of donated eyeglasses from across Iowa

Decorah has been designated as the central depository for all eyeglasses donated in Iowa for the Lions International eye care program.

Decorah Lions Club member Brad Schwartz has donated space in the basement of Oneota Valley Family Eye Care for the program.  Fellow Decorah Lions Club members Lawrence Jensen and Herb Hageman have educated four teams of volunteers about sorting, repairing and preparing the eyeglasses for shipping.  Jensen and Hageman hope to train many more Decorah Lions to assist in the effort to provide improved vision for people in need throughout the world.
