Decorah man enters guilty plea to sexual assault

A Decorah resident accused of forcing a woman into having sex has changed his plea in the case and accepted a plea agreement.

18-year-old Nathaniel Darling entered guilty pleas Wednesday to a charge of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and one count of simple assault.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says a woman reported Darling forced her to have sex with him in his truck on July 22nd of last year.

Darling has been sentenced to 30 days in jail, two years of probation and ten years of having his name listed on Iowa's Sex Offender Registry.
