Letter to the Editor: Thanks for the snow clearing!

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Beth Eggert of Decorah):

"I would like to thank the Decorah Street Department for the amazing job they have done clearing the snow from our street, sidewalks and bike path. It is challenging with the large amount of snow this year to have adequate places to put it.

In the past, a truck with a blade would push the snow on the sidewalks and many times hit the cracks in the sidewalk, creating the potential for damaging them and also digging into our yards. We appreciate the Cat/snow blower taking over this job as the snow gets moved faster and it clears our driveway entries more efficiently. It's a lot of snow (and salt/sand) in our yards, but there just aren't many options. So thank you and keep up the good work!"
