National FFA Week begins Saturday and runs through February 23rd.
The Decorah FFA will be participating in the observance--members of the Decorah chapter will participate in four dress-up days throughout the week. "We will open it up to the rest of the school to promote FFA and encourage others to join," commented chapter sentinel David Johanningmeier. "We are always looking for new members; this is just one way we get other high school students to join our chapter."
The Decorah FFA is currently 61 members strong. Throughout the year, the chapter conducts activities to help grow leaders, build communities, and strengthen agriculture.
To celebrate all the accomplishments of the year, the Decorah FFA will be holding its annual FFA Banquet on Thursday, March 21st at 6:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend. Tickets and more information are available by contacting any Decorah FFA member or by contacting Decorah FFA advisor Joni Bruvold at Decorah High School.
