Icy roads blamed for crash

A two-vehicle accident on Mill Street and West Broadway Wednesday afternoon caused a total of $16,000 in damages, but no injuries.

Decorah Police say 17-year-old Bailey Miculinich approached the Mill Street/Broadway intersection and applied the brakes on her car.  However, the vehicle slid on the icy roads and entered the intersection, hitting an SUV driven by 16-year-old Ethan Monroe of Decorah.

Neither driver was ticketed.  Each vehicle had $8,000 in damages.
