WMT AM of Cedar Rapids has released route maps for the 20th Annual Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade coming up in June -- and the three-day event will be based in Howard County, with routes going through Winneshiek County as well.
Organizers expect nearly 500 participating tractors on the ride this year, with hundreds of others supporting those drivers. The ride will be based at the Howard County Fairgrounds in Cresco, starting on Sunday, June 9th. On Monday, June 10th, the tractors will roll out of Cresco and travel through Lime Springs, Preston, Harmony and Kendallville before returning to the Fairgrounds. On Tuesday June 11th, the parade of tractors will leave the fairgrounds and pass through Ridgeway, Spillville, Ft. Atkinson, St. Lucas, Waucoma, Lawler and Protivin on their way back to Cresco. On Wednesday, June 12th, the Tractorcade will leave Cresco and travel through Bluffton and then head back to the fairgrounds. Each day the drivers will ride between 40 and 75 miles rolling through the countryside, enjoying the scenery at 10-15 miles per hour.
