The American Cancer Society of Winneshiek County has begun taking orders for daffodils, the universal symbol of hope and life. The campaign will deliver hundreds of yellow flowers in Winneshiek County in March to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.
American Cancer Society Staff Partner Sarah Foster says "With daffodils, the hope goes beyond the symbol of the flowers – you know that with every bouquet you order, you're making a difference in the fight against cancer. We're thankful to our sponsors, The Depot Outlet and Winneshiek Medical Center, along with the community who support this fundraiser and our mission."
Make a minimum $10 donation to receive a bunch of approximately 10 daffodils. Orders are now being taken by stopping by Viking State Bank at 321 West Water Street before February 28th. Daffodils will be available for pickup on March 13th at Decorah Lutheran Church from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
