Survey is determining the health needs of Northeast Iowa and Southeastern Minnesota

Posted: Mon, Feb 4, 2019 8:55 AM

Winneshiek Medical Center is seeking community input on the health needs of northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota through an online survey.

This " Community Health Needs Assessment" is designed to gather information on unmet health needs in the area. With this data, communities can map out a course for health improvement by creating strategies to make positive and sustainable changes in their communities.  Winneshiek Medical Center leads, or participates in, a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years.

WMC Chief Administrative Officer Lisa Radtke says, "The survey process and results will allow us to deepen our partnership with the communities we serve through a greater understanding of the health issues they face."

The Community Health Needs Assessment survey opens February 20th. A link to the survey can be found on the Winneshiek Medical Center website at www.winmedical.org or access the survey directly by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WMC_Community_Health_Needs_Assessment

The online survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. Paper copies are also available at the WMC Main Entrance in Decorah, and in WMC clinics in Ossian, Postville, Calmar, Mabel and Spring Grove. Survey results and WMC's priorities and action plan will be shared publicly at the June WMC Board of Trustees meeting at the medical center, and then posted on WMC's website.
