Decorah High School's Bradish Scholarship awarded to Brayden Krivacek

Decorah High School has named Brayden Krivachek as the recipient of the Norman C. Bradish Scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year.
Norman Bradish created a scholarship to be awarded to a male graduate of Decorah High School who possesses high academic ability and curiosity, is liked by peers and adults, and displays high standards of character. The recipient must agree to attend a non-religious college outside the state of Iowa. In addition, the student must remain unmarried until finishing his studies.
Krivachek plans to attend the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he will major in biology with plans to study medicine.
Brayden has been active at Decorah High School and in the Decorah community. Krivachek is a four year letter winner in cross country, receiving All-District and All-State Academic Honors. He has also lettered in soccer and participates in Envirothon, Group Speech, National Honor Society, and the Silver Cord Volunteer Recognition program.
Krivachek is a regular volunteer for school and community activities, and he has successfully completed challenging coursework at Decorah High School, including several AP and post-secondary enrollment courses.
Brayden is the son of Shawn and Carmen Krivachek of Decorah.
